Types of Dental Implants
Our team’s expertise and commitment to excellence means that quality restorative treatment, no matter which treatment option you pursue, will be provided. In this spirit, we encourage you to learn more about some of the treatment alternatives made available through dental implants.
Dental Implant Crowns
In addition to offering fixed bridges and removable dentures, we’re proud to provide dental implants. With this versatile service, patients enjoy more life-like results than patients with a traditional prosthetic because dental implants mimic the natural tooth-root structure. A full implant procedure is typically completed in two phases over the course of a few months.
Overdentures
There are three different types of implant-retained overdentures that we may recommend to edentulous patients based on their needs.
Implant-retained, gum supported overdentures fit on your gums and are held with dental implants placed in your upper and/or lower jaw. This is a removable denture that is secured using implants and attachments that hold the denture in place. This option is the minimum standard of care for restoring function and quality of life for edentulous patients.
Bar-retained, implant supported overdentures fit on your gums using a metal bar that connects to dental implants that are placed on your upper and/or lower jaw. This is a removable denture that is secured to the bar through attachments specifically made to fit into the denture.
Fixed, implant-supported overdentures fit on your gums using a metal bar that is attached to the denture and secured using implants that are placed in your upper and/or lower jaw. This is a permanent solution that can only be removed by our specialists, and it is the most lifelike option available for edentulous patients.
Hybrid Restorations
Hybrid dental implant restorations are prosthetic teeth that are fixed on four or more dental implants anchored to the upper and/or lower jaw. Hybrid dentures offer the benefit of not waiting for dental implants to heal and are a more functional solution compared to traditional dentures. Our patients enjoy the immediate esthetic and functional benefits of secured teeth in just one day, and their long-term success rate and comfort make this treatment option ideal for those that have lost or are about to lose all of their upper and/or lower teeth.
